Good door, great price

I was looking for a new internal door and found a white primed door on their clearance sale. The price was really good, much better than I saw at other places. Delivery took about 4 days to get to me in Portland. It feels like a solid door for the money.

Decent flooring, slow service

I ordered some laminate flooring and skirting boards for a spare room. The products themselves are good, pretty much as described online, and the price was competitive. I particularly liked the range of colors they offered for the laminate. However, the delivery took longer than expected, almost a week and a half, which held up my project a bit. I tried calling customer service once to check on the status, and it took a while to get through. Once I did, the person was helpful enough. Overall, a solid choice for materials if you're not in a huge rush and can factor in potential delivery delays.

How do these guys compare to Wickes or B&Q for timber prices and quality? Looking for some treated timber for a garden project.

I've found their timber quality better than B&Q for sure, especially for decking. Prices can be really competitive, particularly if you're buying a decent amount because of their bulk discounts.

For treated timber, I'd say GW Leader is usually better value and quality than the big DIY sheds. Wickes can be hit or miss.

From what I remember, they usually quote a few business days for doors, like 3-5? Flooring might be quicker. For Manchester, you're probably in their local delivery zone so it shouldn't be too long.

Some of their doors are definitely pre-finished, especially the white primed ones. But you need to check each product listing, some will say if they're ready to hang or need work.

Most of the oak doors I've seen are unfinished, so you'd need to oil or varnish them yourself. Read the description carefully!
